Mayor Charles V. Ryan will be joined by Chief Development Officer David B. Panagore; Springfield Performance Food Group President Sean Griffin; and others during a ribbon cutting event to mark the grand opening of Performance Food Group Company in the new Springfield Smith & Wesson Industrial Park.

The event will take place Tuesday, October 30 at noon on the building’s loading dock, which is located at One Performance Boulevard (just off of Roosevelt Avenue). Members of the media will be invited on a tour of the facility following the press conference.

The relocation and expansion of PFG to this 35-acre site in the City’s newest Industrial Park plays a vital role in the rebirth of Springfield’s economic base. This development will create approximately 232 permanent full-time jobs and has resulted in private investment of $30 million in new construction.
