The Mayor’s Office and the Springfield Police Department will host a pre-proposal conference for prospective Shannon Grant RFP bidders on August 5, 2008, 3 p.m., at the Springfield Police Headquarters on 130 Pearl Street. The media is invited to attend.
The Senator Charles E. Shannon Community Safety Initiative (Shannon CSI) is a state grant program administered by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) to "support regional and multi-disciplinary approaches to combat gang violence through coordinated programs for prevention and intervention."
The purpose of this conference is to communicate the program design and expected components, answer questions and address concerns that prospective bidders may have on this RFP.
