Pursuant to Chapter 110 of the Massachusetts General Laws, the City Clerk accepts filings of Business Certificates by any person, persons or corporations conducting business in the City of Springfield under a company name. Simply print out the Business Certificate Form, fill it in, and return to the Springfield City Clerk with a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

Generally, persons or corporations, individually or in partnership with one another, and doing business in a business zone in the City of Springfield under a company name must file this business certificate. The certificate is valid for four (4) years from the date of filing. They are renewable thereafter.

• Filing is $50.00.
• Certified copy of the completed filing is $15.00.
